THE SHIFT



Hey there . I want you to meet Jack . Jack is a loser . I mean he messed up at work two days ago , almost set his dog on fire and went nuts just because he was unable to meet a deadline . And now he has a presentation tomorrow which will be a disaster considering his recent performances . I am not even sure why is Jack even bothering going to the office and embarrassing himself tomorrow ? .Okay, We have to break it here because " this is just in " Jack is just an example and I am acting like a voice in his head . Actually , we all have this inner voice that sometimes beats us badly . It is more intense if a person is more prone to negativity or if a person is consistently sucking at his everyday life . Why does it happen and how can we get out of this frame of mind ? Let's dive into it but wait , I have to inform you that the water is cold . 


Okay so why does it happen that we feel like we are the only loser left on earth and everyone else is just too perfect . A number of things can cause this . One is the way we normally think . If we normally think negative , then it is a certainty with money back guarantee that we will find ourselves in this mindset time and time again . how to overcome it can be pretty tricky and there are a number of ways . One of the ways is that we must stop and notice when we are having these thoughts And then ask the question of " why am I having these thoughts ? When we learn how to observe ourselves and focus on the way we are thinking about the next task . So , what's next ? now we have to shift our mindset so lets get back to Jack .


Jack is not all bad . I mean yes he acted a bit odd when he failed to meet a deadline but that was just because he likes to meet deadlines and like to do his job perfectly and within time . He just need to focus a bit and prepare well for the presentation which is tomorrow . And he has to reward himself if he does well .


This is " The shift " which was the name of this bundle of words and the reason its called the shift is because it shifts your mind into a different mode , a different mindset and eventually a different day . When we make this shift , we look at tasks ahead differently and become optimistic about them which is a good thing . It makes us feel less sorry for ourselves and makes us ready for what's coming next .
