WHY AND HOW : MEDITATION






Breathing in , and breathing out . be calm and read on . You are viewing one of those things in which we get to know the "Whys and hows" of a "thing" and today we are going to look into the soothing , mind relaxing and focus enhancing  activity known as meditation ( as promised ) . Why would anyone even try to meditate and if the question of why gets an answer , then "how" should it be done or can be done ? these are the renowned questions which will be answered below .Breathing in, and breathing out .  You might want to grab a pillow ( just saying ) .

WHY :




Why should anyone meditate ? It is a valid argument if you look at it this way that most people are not meditating but are still good at focusing on things and making things right . And also they are generally calm . well at least some of the people are calm and do not get stressed out easily . So why should they even meditate in the first place ? what is so extraordinary beautiful out of this world thing that they are missing if they are not sitting quietly for a little time during their day ? And the answer to that will be one of the best answer ever . it is because the power of  " er " . it will make you calm-er ( of-course I'm kidding ) . Actually , the reason is that in this fast paced world where we are competing every day for almost every spot , if we do not work towards the betterment of our psychological strength , then soon we will be one of those who got left behind . Meditation can help us improve ourselves . It helps us in improving our focus . Our mind wanders less and we can focus more on the task at hand . It can bring natural calmness to our lives and make us less stressed . Also helps us by improving our threshold of stress . One do not get stressed quickly if she meditates . 

Meditation also helps a person to become more emotionally calm . It helps a person to make his decisions without  feeding off his emotions. Think of two screens . One with a clear picture and one with a not-so clear picture . The person who meditates has a clear picture in his mind . It is easy to focus on the screen and concentrate on what the screen is actually showing . But with all the distractions on the other screen is making it difficult for a person to actually concentrate . End result , lost of focus from the person observing the not-so clear screen . 


HOW



Now that before you start saying "okay I get it , meditation is important and we should at least try it out but how can I meditate ? " take a look at the following . 

Yes meditation is beautiful ( if you feel it ) but how can a person meditate . There are many different ways through which we can meditate but for beginners , certain things should e kept in mind before you start . First thing is that you have to find a quite spot where you can concentrate . Secondly , you have to make yourself comfortable before you can start . This includes wearing something comfortable and being in a comfortable position "It is not necessary that you must be sitting in full lotus to meditate" . 

And now we do what was said at the start of this post " Breathing in , and breathing out " . Close your eyes , loose your belly ( don't worry ) . Set an alarm for how many minutes you want to meditate ( Start small ) . Then , try to focus on your breathing . Breathing in ( belly out ) , breathing out ( belly in ) . Do it till your alarm rings .
